Are there any vaccine requirements?
Although the Tanzania does not require it, we highly recommend you get a yellow fever vaccine. There are some countries in Africa that do require this vaccine even if you are only connecting through that country. If you have received a yellow fever vaccine, you do not need to get another one unless it has been 20 years since you had it. Success Summit will reimburse you for this cost.
What travel expenses are covered?
The following travel expenses for you and your guest, including airline tickets, Tanzanian visa, group meals, ground transportation to and from the Kilimanjaro/Arusha/Seronera airports, and yellow fever vaccine and malaria pills.
For the Tanzanian visa, yellow fever vaccine and malaria pills (if you would like them), you will pay for these, but please keep the receipts. Submit your receipts to [email protected] and you will be reimbursed via check within 4-6 weeks of submission. You will have until Friday, June 1, 2027 to submit the receipts.
Which meals are covered?

What is appropriate attire?
Comfort is the key! Keep your nice clothes and shoes at home!
Casual Attire: Slacks, Bermudas, or capri pants are acceptable. Keep in mind protection from mosquitoes and other insects calls for clothing that covers as much of the body as possible. Activities and dinners call for casual attire. A light sweater or jacket for evenings and air-conditioned rooms is recommended. The Awards Dinner will be held outdoors on a grassy lawn space; please select your shoes appropriately.
Serengeti Attire: Comfortable shoes and layers in neutral colors, as the temperature will vary throughout the day. Blue, black, white, red, and yellow colored clothing should be avoided. Our evening events in the Serengeti call for the same. During the day, sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats are highly recommended.
What else should I pack?
A sunhat is vital, as are sunglasses, binoculars, a camera, spare batteries or a charger, insect repellent and sunscreen. An international plug and small daypack are also recommended.
Are there luggage restrictions?
We will be taking small chartered planes which have very limited space for bags. Luggage taken to the Serengeti is strictly limited. Each person is allowed to carry on one small personal item such as a purse or laptop bag and check in soft-sided bags only. Baggage with a hard exterior will not be allowed. Your personal item can weigh no more than 10 lbs total or 4.5 kg. Your checked in bag can weigh no more than 50 lbs total or 23 kg. You may check in 1 bag weighting 50 lbs or 2 bags with a combined weight of 50 lbs.
Valuables and medications should always be kept in your carry-on luggage.
Will I be able to use my phone in Tanzania?
Mobile phones generally work in the urban areas such as Arusha. You should contact your service provider to ensure you have international roaming access specific to Tanzania and to determine any additional costs that may be incurred. In the Serengeti and other remote areas, mobile service may not be available.
Who do I contact if I have questions during my stay?
A Success Summit Hospitality Desk with event staff will be available throughout the program. Specific Hospitality Desk location and hours will be outlined in the program information you will receive prior to your departure.
